5 Fun Events This March In Oceanside

Looking for something fun to do in the Oceanside area this spring? The snow has finally almost completely melted and we can start to venture out into the world again. Here are some fun local events you should check out.

Qualicum Beach Farmers Market

Saturdays Year-Round – Celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year, the Qualicum Beach Farmers Market is a fantastic way to eat fresh, support local vendors, and be healthy. Vendors make, bake, or grow the products they offer for sale.

It’s a great way to discover the wealth of mid-Island production from a wide variety of local home and commercial providers. Learn from them in person the joys and challenges of delivering quality fruits, vegetables and berries, maintaining heritage varieties and assuring the freshest and best flavoured homemade products. The market is open from 8:30 am to noon every Saturday. Check out their website for more information.

Dad’s Night Out: Free Skate

March 7th – Calling all Dads! Bring the kids over to the Oceanside Place Arena and enjoy a free skate together on the pond (okay… it’s not a real pond but the kids won’t mind). Skate time is from 6:30pm – 7:30pm.

This free skate is sponsored by the great people at Building Learning Together. Building Learning Together (BLT) supports early learning and literacy for children and their families as well as many youth, adult and senior programs. I just love it when local businesses and associations put on fun events for kids! Don’t you?

Second Sunday Market & Pancake Breakfast

March 12 – If you’re in the mood for an entertaining time; shopping, breakfast and live music, this is the place for you! They have over 30 vendors with everything from one-of-a-kind handmade items, to vintage collectibles, beading supplies, tools, and even household goods.

You can also enjoy the tasty pancake breakfast – this month it’s a fund-raiser for their Hall.

If you want to sell your own goods, it’s only $10 ($11 non-members) inside table, or for a market spot outside (bring your own tent, etc.).
Visit their Facebook Page to see some of the vendors that will be there. It’s located at 240 Lion’s Way, Qualicum Bay, BC
