Qualicum Beach Family Portraits

Rustic locations seems to be the theme this year for family portraits ๐Ÿ™‚ I, unfortunately, don’t have a cool looking barn at my disposal but I do happen to have a couple great locations up my sleeve for my sessions!

The old Qualicum train station is one of those great locations. It was an active stop on the Via Rail line for quite some time but the line is no longer active so the station itself has been converted to an awesome looking co-working space. The outside of the building still maintains its beautiful rustic charm, however, and photographs beautifully. I also really love that I scan switch from rustic wood to gorgeous dark green forest in moments just by crossing the street. It’s also amazing that we have this beautiful spot right in the heart of Qualicum Beach. I think that hidden gems like this are the best ๐Ÿ™‚

It had been several years since their last family portrait for the Mant family and they were overdue! Angela wanted to get some new family portraits done before their oldest son decided that he didn’t want to do them anymore ๐Ÿ™‚ There’s no better time than the present, right? Isn’t this outfit theme awesome! I love how it’s matching but not totally matching ๐Ÿ™‚ I love photographing little boys. I can almost guarantee that blowing raspberries or sticking my tongue out at them will make them giggle ๐Ÿ™‚ This little guy didn’t disappoint. Even his older brother joined in on some of the laughs ๐Ÿ™‚
