Rhiannon + Brian | A Nanaimo Wedding Story

“Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.”
—Unknown Author

Have you ever looked at a couple and just known in your heart right then and there that those two are meant for each other and will be together forever? That’s how I felt when I saw Rhiannon & Brian together for the first time. Their love and comfort with each other seems effortless to someone looking in from outside that bubble. They are so low key and happy that they’re a joy to spend time with 🙂

After shooting their engagement session I knew that their wedding was going to be amazing. I was thrilled when Rhiannon told me that they were using Sebastian Beach in Lantzville for their ceremony. It’s so incredibly serene and beautiful there and one of my favorite places out of everywhere I’ve seen. Just an FYI for those considering Sebastian Beach – this venue isn’t able to be reserved for exclusive so that’s a big thing to keep in mind prior to choosing this space. It’s also a very popular space for beach going families, dog walkers, and photographers 🙂

Rhi & Brian, along with some dedicated family & friends, also spent a long time and put a lot of effort into perfecting their backyard landscaping to make it the perfect venue for their wedding reception. You’ll see what I mean as you scroll through their photos. It was absolutely perfect for them.

This driftwood heart is just one of the many beautiful, one of a kind, hand crafted details that Rhiannon and Brian included in their wedding day. It doesn’t get any more West coast than driftwood!

This is one of those images that really stands out in black & white. Black & white really shows the moment and the love between these two rather than just the scene in front of the camera.

Isn’t this beach an incredible background for a wedding ceremony? Imagine this on a sunny day with deep blue water and snow capped mountains in the background. It’s breath taking!

I know…”Where did the bus come from?” is probably what you’re thinking right now. Rhi & Brian charted this bus as their wedding day transportation. It was pretty awesome and made for some great photo opportunities!
