Events & Travel Schedule | Nanaimo & Edmonton Boudoir Marathon

Hey! How's your day? It's gorgeous & sunny here in beautiful Nanaimo, BC!I'm just about ready to head out to the lake for a swim but I wanted to make sure that I posted my upcoming travel schedule first.

I'll be hanging out in Edmonton & Calgary, maybe even Red Deer, from June 24th until July 12th and I'll be back to a normal shooting schedule here in Nanaimo starting on July 13th. So, if you need me, that's where I'll be!

The Nanaimo boudoir marathon is the last one before I shut down the studio for the season. I'll be taking very very limited studio sessions this summer and this studio location will be closed as of the end of August and will remain so until I find a new perfect home for it. Stay tuned for a grand re-opening! There's also one mini session date (ok, maybe 2!) that aren't up there yet as I haven't decided on the best date for those yet. Feel free to comment or send me an e-mail with a date suggestion if you're interested in booking one of the mini sessions! I'd love to hear from you.

Don't hesitate to get in touch though if you're looking for a boudoir session with me! There are lots of other options for great locations, including your own bedroom! I know what you're thinking...my home is blah. Trust me. All you need is a set of white sheets & a bed :) I can even bring white sheets with me * wink wink *

That's it from me today ladies & gents! I'm off to the lake! I hope you're out there enjoying the sunshine too!

I am SO behind on blogging all of your amazing sessions! I'm working hard today on getting a whole lot of writing done, starting with this awesome family here :)  You'll be seeing a lot of this gorgeous location in my blog posts (as if you haven't already! lol) simply because this is one of my favorite places in Nanaimo.  It's also the perfect place for family photography...lot of interested sights to keep the little ones engaged and so many hidden gems for places to take your photos. I have a few super secret spots up my sleeve that you more than likely won't see in anyone else's photos. This session happened on a lovely fall afternoon. The wind wasn't our friend that day though. It was pretty nippy and as such, the jackets stayed on. My poor hands were almost numb by the time we got back to the parking lot lol It all started out well but this little man was a bit of a sad panda and didn't want anything to do with having his picture taken this day. I blame the wind...it was cold enough to make anyone cranky so I definitely can't say I blame the munchkin at all lol There wasn't many smiles to be had but I think we still got a few cute photos and another story for the diner table when he's 16 :) This little guy happens to have the perfect eyes for a black & white portrait so I had to make sure I included some in this set :) When he did smile, it was so sweet! There's definitely a few cute shots in there that should totally be pulled out for his girlfriend when he's a teenager lol

Speak of sweet, isn't the little pooch adorable?? I have a thing for all animals, but dogs in particular and this little one almost got smuggled home in my coat lol

This little girl had me giggling through the entire session. Not a single unhappy face despite making her sit on cold concrete lol Such a trooper for such a wee one. Aren't those glasses adorable? This is one of my favorite locations in Nanaimo for portrait photography when the weather isn't co-operating. It's not the more covered or the most quiet place but it's sheltered from the rain and I think it looks pretty cool. It's always a nice alternative for something other than the beach or forest when you want something unique :)
